Our goal
We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at levelAA, the recognised international standard for accessible websites. We build and check the site against that standard.
What is in place
- Every piece of content is reachable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator, and a skip link leads straight to the main content.
- Text and controls meet the level AA contrast requirements, including where type sits on a photograph.
- Every meaningful image has a text description and every control has an accessible name.
- Motion is used sparingly. The film on the homepage has a pause control, and anyone who has asked their system for reduced motion gets the still frame instead of the film.
- The pages are built for small screens and stay usable when zoomed to 200%.
Known limitations
We believe the site meets WCAG 2.2 level AA. Two notes:
- Content added after launch, such as images, embedded videos or PDF documents, may not meet the requirements (a missing text description or missing captions, for example). We check new content against the standard as it is created and fix what we find.
- If you hit a barrier we have missed, please tell us. We treat it as a defect to be fixed.
